But we understand that it can be difficult to escape the beauty of the island for an entire day, so the decision is left up to you. Frequently Asked Questions Where do we meet for the charter? Lepika is located at Honokahau harbor 5 miles north of Kona in slip JB. What do we bring for the charter? We provide you with everything needed to go fishing: tackle, bait ice, and bottled water. Full day charters should bring a lunch, snacks and drinks. Although there is plenty of shade aboard Lepika bring sunscreen and sunglasses are a necessity. What time do we meet? We recommend leaving the harbor at 6:30am, however it is your vacation so different times can be scheduled. The earlier we get out fishing the better. How many people can go on a trip? The boat is licensed for up to 6 passengers, prices quoted are for the boat, not per person. Can we keep the fish we catch? We encourage tag and release of billfish. Large Ahi (over 50 lbs.) are sold commercially. If you want fish for dinner mention it to the crew and we'll send you home with filets. How long will we be out? Usually never come in early, sometimes if the bite is on we stay out a bit later. It's your trip so let know what works for you! Do you have a bathroom? Yes, a private head is clean and operable.
